The Mumbai Municipal Corporation had prepared a proposal for corona vaccination by going door to door for the elderly and the disabled. However, the central health department rejected the proposal, saying there was no policy for home vaccination.
Vaccination centers will be expanded to a small scale to some extent. So that people do not have to travel more than two kilometers to get the covid vaccine. Municipal Additional Commissioner Suresh Kakani said that there are more than one and a half lakh elderly people in Mumbai, some are bedridden and some are disabled. They cannot go out for vaccination. A letter was written to the Center in this regard. Permission was sought to vaccinate such citizens at home. However, the Center said there was no such policy.
