Jigarbaaj Mayur Shelke gets Rs 50,000 from Railways and a bike from Java

Pointman at the Wangani railway station in Navi Mumbai saved the life of a Chimukalya. This whole type was captured on CCTV. The promptness shown by Pointman saved the life of the blind man’s son.
This is appreciating the courage of Mayur Shelke. After this, he is also being showered with rewards from all levels.

After Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also praised Mayur’s courage, the Railways announced a reward of Rs 50 for Mayur.

Chimukla had fallen on the railway track while the Udyan Express was approaching at Wangani railway station. At that point, the pointman risked his life to save the boy. His courage has been appreciated by everyone from officials to railway ministers.

What is special is that in just a few seconds, the child’s life was saved. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has tweeted that he is proud of the courage shown by Railway Pointman Mayur Shelke.

The Railway Ministry has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for Shelke. Industrialist Anand Mahindra also lauded Mayur and Java Motorcycle Director Anupam Thareja said that Mayur would be given a new Java motorcycle as a gift.
