NEW DELHI: OnePlus recently entered the fitness segment with the launch of its first fitness tracker — OnePlus Band. Now, it appears that Xiaomi is all set to launch its competitor soon in the market. The smartphone maker is said to be working on its new fitness tracker likely to be called Mi Band 6.
According to a new online report, many details about the yet to launch fitness band were revealed inside the Zepp app. The zepp app is developed by Xiaomi-backed Huami and it is the official app for Amazfit and Zepp smartwatches and fitness bands.
As per the report, the Mi Band 6 is codenamed ‘Pangu’ and it has a model number XMSH16HM. The report reveals that the upcoming fitness tracker from Xiaomi will come with Alexa support and an SpO2 monitor. It is interesting to note that this will be the first Xiaomi band to come with a SpO2 monitor. Also the recently launched OnePlus band also features an SpO2 monitor.
Along with this, the Mi Band 6 is also said to offer watch faces of higher resolution as compared with the Mi Band 5. The fitness band is also expected to sport a larger display as compared to its predecessor. The report also revealed that the Mi Band 6 will come with 30 different activity modes which will include Zumba, Cricket, Basketball, kickboxing and others.
Recently, Xiaomi launched the Mi 10i in India with a starting price tag of Rs 20,999. The handset comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 240Hz refresh rate.
The handset runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 12. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. The device packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
