Mercury has risen in the state and as expected, the temperature in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada has also increased. A heat wave has been warned for March 30 in Vidarbha.
The maximum temperature in many parts of the state has been recorded at 40 degrees Celsius. But now the intensity of summer is slowly increasing. Temperatures have also risen in central Maharashtra and Marathwada. Although the temperature rise in Konkan is not much of a problem, this year the mercury has risen there as well.
Temperatures are expected to rise again on March 30 and March 31. The meteorological department has forecast a rise in temperature in Vidarbha and adjoining Marathwada region.
Rise in temperature in Ratnagiri too
Ratnagiri will experience intense heat waves on Tuesday and Wednesday. The temperature recorded in Ratnagiri on Friday is the third hottest in 25 years. Earlier, mercury was recorded at 40.6 and 40.2 degrees Celsius in 2011 and 2004, respectively.
